Former CVS Health executive Daniel Best and Department of Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Health Brett Giroir have been appointed to new HHS positions created to help combat the opioid epidemic.

According to a Fierce Healthcare report, Best will serve as the HHS secretary’s senior adviser for drug pricing reform; Giroir will expand his current responsibilities to serve as senior adviser for mental health and opioid policy.
